The Workplace Relations Commission found Martin Schranz’s complaint against the HSE under the Payment of Wages Act 1991 was statute-barred. The WRC dated its decision 25 August 2022. Schranz alleged he was not paid for work done in 2020, with payment due on 31 January 2021. The HSE denied that further wages were properly payable. Schranz referred the complaint on 3 August 2021, more than six months after the alleged payment date, and did not apply for an extension. The merits were not decided.
