WRC finds Kevin Lynch’s wage complaint against Mount Wolseley out of time

The Workplace Relations Commission found Kevin Lynch’s wage complaint against Mount Wolseley Hospitality Ltd t/a Mount Wolseley Hotel and Golf Club Ltd was brought outside the time limit and was not well founded; the merits were not decided. Lynch, a green keeper at the hotel resort and golf club, said the alleged wage shortfall occurred on 23 May 2020. The company argued that his claim was out of time. The WRC found it was 14 months late and that there was no basis to adjust the date of the alleged contravention. The decision was dated 19 September 2022.
