WRC finds Ginos Gelato complaint not well founded after complainant misses hearing

The Workplace Relations Commission found Nicolás De La Vega’s complaint against Masron Ltd t/a Ginos Gelato not well founded after he failed to attend the hearing or send a representative. The WRC said the decision was dated 9 May 2022. The complaint concerned section 7 of the Terms of Employment (Information) Act, 1994. The adjudication officer said De La Vega had been notified about the hearing, and attempts were made to contact him by email and phone. He did not attend or explain his absence, so he had not prosecuted his case; the merits were not decided.
