The Workplace Relations Commission found Paddy Dandy’s complaint over Rentokil Initial Limited’s move from fortnightly to monthly pay was brought outside the time limit and was not well founded; the merits were not decided. The decision was dated 23 February 2023. Dandy argued that the change breached employment terms transferred from his previous employer. Rentokil Initial Limited said the complaint was late because he had transferred to the company six years earlier. The WRC found the six-month limit, or up to 12 months in some circumstances, had expired. The adjudicator said a change to pay frequency without agreement required consideration under different legislation.
