WRC awards former sales executive €4,705.08 in unpaid commission case

The Workplace Relations Commission has awarded former account executive Riadh Haddad €4,705.08 after finding his complaint over unpaid sales commission well founded. The decision was dated 14 March 2023. Haddad worked for Ip Soft Eu Holding Bv from April to July 2020. He said he generated leads under the company’s commission plan and had been told by his manager that he would be paid. The company argued the leads did not qualify for commission and that the manager could not approve payment. The adjudicator accepted that Haddad generated 11 leads and found he had a reasonable expectation they qualified for commission. The award followed the commission calculation in US dollars, converted to €4,705.08. Haddad had also claimed unpaid health insurance and pension contributions, but the company said he had not completed the three months’ service required for eligibility.
