WRC rejects Kate Foskin’s complaint over recovery of wage overpayment

The Workplace Relations Commission found Kate Foskin’s complaint over deductions to recover an overpayment was not well founded. The decision, dated 18 January 2022, said the higher salary point had been applied to her in error. Foskin, an educational psychologist with the Department of Education, said the deductions unlawfully reduced her wages and that she should retain additional increments. The Minister for Education said the increments had been applied in error and the overpayment was recoverable.
