The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Adrian O'Hagan's claims for unfair dismissal, a redundancy payment and minimum notice pay. The decision, dated 14 December 2022, found that he resigned from Bellew Electrical Wholesale Limited. O'Hagan said the company told him he was redundant in August 2020, then later said he remained employed. The company said he resigned on 7 October 2020 while on temporary layoff. The WRC found he had not established that he was dismissed by reason of redundancy, was not entitled to a redundancy payment and was not entitled to minimum notice pay because he resigned.
