The Workplace Relations Commission awarded a worker €1,523 in four weeks’ notice pay after her employer closed its business. In a decision dated 18 November 2016, the officer found she was entitled to the payment based on her service. The employer did not attend the hearing, but had written that it owed the notice pay and could not afford to pay it.
