WRC dismisses Cornelius O'Donoghue complaint against Clare County Council

A Workplace Relations Commission adjudication officer found Cornelius O'Donoghue’s Equal Status Act complaint against Clare County Council was not well founded. The decision, dated 30 April 2025, made no award. O'Donoghue alleged discrimination over the refusal of funding for a portable toilet and the absence of sanitary facilities at unauthorised sites. The officer found the Council was not the service provider responsible for the funding application or decision. The complaint was within time, but the Council was not the proper provider for the matters complained of.
