Labour Court overturns Tesco recommendation on worker’s management agreement eligibility

The Labour Court overturned a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation and found in favour of a worker’s claim to be included in Tesco Ireland Limited’s Management Structures Agreement 2006. The decision was signed on 9 October 2008. The worker had retained a 7.5% responsibility differential after covering Chargehand duties for four months in 1998. The Court found she had performed the role intermittently from 1998 and continuously from 2005, meeting the agreement’s eligibility criteria.
