Four men have been convicted of sexually abusing their deaf relative after a jury completed its work at the Central Criminal Court. The proceedings were reported on 10 June 2026. Ms Justice Caroline Biggs presided over the trial, which began in October 2025.

Seven men originally faced 103 charges, but 83 were withdrawn, including all charges against one man. The remaining six faced 20 charges, 16 relating to the main complainant. The men denied all the charges. None of the parties can be named for legal reasons.

Accused B was convicted of three counts of rape and one of anal rape of the main complainant between 2006 and 2014. Accused E was convicted of two counts of anal rape against her between 2007 and 2009. Accused F was convicted of one count of rape against her during the same period.

Accused C was convicted by majority verdicts of ten counts involving three sisters. On 9 June, the jury found him guilty of anally raping Complainant 3, who was a child, between September 2010 and September 2014. On 10 June, it found him guilty of the remaining nine counts: sexual assault of Complainant 2 between 2005 and 2006; two counts of raping her between 2015 and 2018; and three counts of rape, two of anal rape and one of sexual assault against the main complainant between 2003 and 2010.

The jury could not agree on a further rape count against Accused F or on one rape count each against Accused A and Accused G. The judge remanded the three convicted men present into custody until a sentence hearing the following month and remanded the other two men on the same terms pending directions on the unresolved counts. Accused C was absent from court, and the judge issued a bench warrant for him.
