A jury found Accused C guilty by majority verdict of anally raping his younger sister, Complainant 3, in the family home when she was a child. The offence was found to have occurred on a date between September 2010 and September 2014.

The verdict was returned during the Central Criminal Court trial of six men accused of sexually abusing a deaf relative. Accused C was also found guilty by majority verdict on nine other counts involving two of his sisters. The court issued a bench warrant after he was absent when the case was called. Three convicted men present in court were remanded in custody until a sentence hearing the following month; the judge remanded two other men on the same terms for directions on counts where jurors could not agree verdicts.
