The Labour Court ruled on 20 April 2026 that it had no jurisdiction to hear Ionela-Adina Iacobuta’s appeal against Kinlay Abbey Limited because it was filed outside the 42-day limit. The Court declined to extend the deadline, finding exceptional circumstances had not been established. Iacobuta said her employment transferred to the company on 4 September 2020 without her consent and ended around 29 September 2020. The company argued she had never worked for it. The Court did not decide the underlying complaint.
