The Labour Court directed Cardinal Health Ireland Manufacturing Limited to pay Kristina Viksna €405 for three days’ wages after allowing her appeal under the Payment of Wages Act. The Court signed its decision on 27 July 2026, setting aside the earlier Adjudication Officer decision. Viksna said she was ready to return to work on 16 February 2022, but the company kept her away pending an occupational health review despite her GP confirming she was fit. The Court found her wages for 16, 17 and 18 February were payable. The company said it resumed payment from 21 February after she had exhausted its sick pay scheme.
