The Labour Court set aside an earlier decision after Noonan Services Group Ltd appealed a Payment of Wages complaint brought by Cecile Eugene Ramos. The decision was dated 16 February 2024. Ramos argued that Employment Regulation Orders introduced in 2015 and 2016 entitled him to higher pay. Noonan said his employment terms did not provide for increases whenever an order was enacted. The Court found no contract term or other employment condition establishing that entitlement, and concluded Ramos had received all wages properly payable. It set aside the Adjudication Officer’s decision. The Court also noted that Ramos had been paid €11.48 per hour during the relevant period.
