The Labour Court recommended that Carlow Brewing Company Ltd. recognise SIPTU as the representative of employees who are union members and negotiate a procedural agreement for normal industrial relations business. The recommendation was dated 20 March 2026. SIPTU sought recognition for its members, citing workplace concerns and a need for a dispute resolution process. The company opposed recognition and collective bargaining, pointing to its workplace record, pay and benefits, while saying it would allow union officials to accompany employees in grievance and disciplinary matters.
