Labour Court rejects worker’s complaint over Mr Price appeal process

The Labour Court could not find in favour of a worker’s complaint about the appeal process after he was dismissed during probation at Corrajio Unlimited T/A Mr Price Branded Bargains. The recommendation was signed on 20 March 2026. The worker said he was not given a face-to-face appeal hearing and did not receive requested documents in time to include them in his appeal. The employer said he received training, opportunities to improve, representation and a right to appeal after performance issues were raised during probation. The Court said the employer’s processes were substantially fair and could not recommend in the worker’s favour.
