Labour Court recommends Stryker Anngrove recognise SIPTU members

The Labour Court recommended that Stryker Anngrove amend its workplace procedures and recognise SIPTU as representative of its members. The recommendation, signed on 18 April 2023, followed a referral on behalf of 80 members represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The union said the existing employee engagement arrangements were inadequate and that the company’s grievance and disciplinary policies did not meet the requirements of the Code of Practice. Stryker Anngrove did not attend the hearing. The Court recommended that the company bring its procedures into line with the Code and engage with SIPTU on employment matters affecting its members.
