The Labour Court recommended that Kildare County Council deal with four Tenant Liaison Officers’ regrading claim through any agreement emerging from national engagement on a job-evaluation scheme for local authority Grades 4 to 7. FORSA Trade Union represented the workers. The recommendation was signed on 12 February 2020. The union said the roles had gained responsibility and technical requirements. The Council said the claim could increase costs and have national implications. The Court noted the officers were covered by a national job-evaluation claim and said it would be inappropriate to decide the local claim while that issue remained under national discussion.
