The Labour Court recommended that Care Assistants at Inspire Wellbeing’s Dunfirth Farm site in Co Kildare be allowed to wear football jerseys as before. The recommendation was signed on 14 November 2019. The dispute followed the transfer of staff from the Irish Society for Autism to Inspire Wellbeing in October 2018. The union said jerseys had been accepted as ordinary everyday dress at Dunfirth Farm. Inspire Wellbeing said its company-wide dress code banned football tops. The Court recommended that jerseys not be worn at training days, conferences or seminars attended by workers from other locations.
