The Labour Court recommended that Bimeda Animal Health Limited honour the terms of workers’ transferred contracts and recognise SIPTU Members’ representation rights. The recommendation was signed on 14 November 2019. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said members’ contracts and job descriptions, including their right to union representation, transferred under TUPE and should be honoured. Bimeda Animal Health Limited said there was no dispute. The Court also recommended that the employer recognise the union as representative of its members and engage with it on employment matters affecting them.
