Labour Court recommends North West Parents and Friends reinstate increments

The Labour Court recommended that North West Parents And Friends concede the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim and reinstate staff increment payments. The recommendation was signed on 29 November 2016. The union said staff were entitled to increments aligned with HSE pay scales. North West Parents And Friends said HSE funding reductions meant it could not pay the increments without reducing service levels. The Court acknowledged the employer’s funding difficulties but said it could not reconcile the agreed pay alignment with the continued failure to apply increments.
