The Labour Court recommended further discussions between the HSE / National Ambulance Service and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union on annual leave for non-rostered relief staff and post-graduate interns, and on where those staff are based. The recommendation was signed on 27 June 2013. The Court recommended clear, objective guidelines for casual leave, including that applications should not be unreasonably refused. It also recommended further negotiations on assigning relief staff to hubs, deploying them to a location nearest their residence and setting conditions for transfers within a hub.
