The Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union accept Resource Group’s proposal to reduce the Sunday premium for cleaners at Beaumont Hospital. In return, Resource Group should negotiate with the union on a site sick-pay scheme providing up to three weeks of certified paid leave a year, with the first three days unpaid. The Court also recommended a theatre rate of €10 an hour for new employees, while existing staff would keep their current rate. The recommendation was signed on 27 June 2013.
