The Labour Court recommended immediate implementation of additional staffing levels sought by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation at HSE West (Arás Mhathair PL)'s nursing home in Castlerea.
The union sought two nurses on duty at all times, saying current staffing could not provide safe professional care. HSE West said funding was unavailable. The Court found the union's case compelling and recommended the change on 21 July 2010.
