The Labour Court recommended that Coca Cola HBC Ireland Ltd offer redundancy terms matching its SIPS package, without alteration, to workers affected by the outsourcing of its logistics function. The recommendation was signed on 21 September 2009. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union also sought a feasibility study into maintaining jobs at Ballycoolin. The Court recommended further discussions on that proposal. The company had considered outsourcing 138 warehouse and distribution jobs, and the employment of SIPTU members ended when the logistics operation was outsourced.
