Labour Court recommends Boots and Mandate re-engage over Saturday roster changes

By Tadhg O'Sullivan

Labour Court ·

The Labour Court recommended that Boots Retail (Ireland) Ltd and Mandate re-engage locally over proposed roster changes in Boots’ Blanchardstown branches. The recommendation was signed on 23 December 2008. Boots said business needs required some Monday or Tuesday shifts to move to Saturday. Mandate argued the changes would increase workload and conflict with agreed practices. The Court recommended local talks, with Labour Relations Commission conciliation assistance if needed, and said neither side should exert pressure on the other.
