The Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union establish whether Rathfredagh Cheshire Home falls within the “Irish Public Health Service” for eligibility under the 2001 nursing agreement. The union had sought to have a worker reclassified as a Senior Staff Nurse. The Court said the issue could be referred back after the term’s meaning was clarified. The recommendation was signed on 9 December 2008.
