The Labour Court rejected the Irish Medical Organisation’s claim for retrospective overtime payments to GP Registrars, finding no merit in it. The recommendation was signed on 7 February 2008. The union said registrars had remained unpaid for overtime worked from 1997 to 2000, while other grades had been reimbursed. The Health Service Executive Employers Agency disputed that 168 registrars had claimed, saying only five had, and argued there was insufficient evidence of the hours worked.
