In 2008, the Labour Court recommended against appointing a dedicated Assistant Director to lead the Community Intervention Team, saying staffing and management arrangements should be considered in a national review. HSE South opposed committing to the post before that review, citing a lack of funding and approval, while the Irish Nurses Organisation argued the team needed dedicated nursing leadership. The recommendation was signed on 5 February 2008.
