Labour Court recommends An Post pay increases for Pseu members after change agreement

The Labour Court recommended that An Post pay Pseu members the Sustaining Progress increases set out in an earlier recommendation once both parties accepted the Court’s recommendation in a pending referral under section 20(1) of the Industrial Relations Act, 1969. The recommendation was dated 1 November 2005. Pseu said it had concluded negotiations on workplace changes and agreed to be bound by the Court’s recommendation on a small number of outstanding issues. The Court considered the union had fulfilled the requirements for payment so far as it could, and that final agreement on the change programme would bring sufficient benefits to permit payment. An Post said payment should await completion of the linked programme.
