The Labour Court did not recommend the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim for extra annual leave for about 102 library assistant and executive-grade staff at Trinity College Dublin. The recommendation was dated 25 November 2004. The claim sought one to three extra days for staff with more than one to 10 years’ service. The Court found their existing leave entitlement exceeded that of the civil service grades used as comparators and found no evidence that a pay link with those grades also applied to annual leave. It also said the College should have processed the claim more quickly.
