In 2004, the Labour Court did not recommend a disturbance allowance for staff temporarily moving from the Central Fisheries Board’s head office in Glasnevin to Swords and Abbottstown. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and AMICUS MSF had sought compensation, citing extra travel costs and time. The Court recommended immediate discussions on travel and subsistence arrangements and said the Board should consider individual cases where genuine hardship could be demonstrated. Its recommendation was signed on 27 September 2004.
