The Labour Court did not recommend the Irish Nurses’ Organisation’s claim to upgrade three Coordinator for the Elderly posts at the North Eastern Health Board to the Director of Mental Health Nursing grade. The Court found the posts were intended to be part of the Board’s management stream and considered the proposed salary level appropriate to their place in its structure. The Board had offered Grade 8 on the managerial scale, which the claimants rejected. The recommendation was signed on 13 December 2002.
