The Labour Court recommended that St Luke's Hospital and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union establish a working party to resolve a dispute over radiography service arrangements and out-of-hours payments. The recommendation was signed on 14 May 2001. The Court said the union's claim to implement parts of a radiography working party report was reasonable, while also accepting the hospital's case for changes to out-of-hours service arrangements. It recommended an independently chaired group seek agreement within four weeks. If it could not agree, the chair was to report back to the Court for a final recommendation. The relevant report sections were to be implemented once agreement on service delivery was reached.
