In 1999, the Labour Court recommended against conceding a special pay claim for foremen at MFP Plastics. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said the foremen had lost out under the 1980 Productivity Agreement and had taken on additional responsibilities. The company argued the claim was cost-increasing and precluded under Partnership 2000. The recommendation was signed on 11 October 1999.
