In 1996, the Labour Court recommended a six-month review of crew levels under Spring Grove Services’ five-over-six-day roster, following a dispute with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The Court also recommended that the company be sensitive to overtime arrangements across employee groups. The Court said either side could raise the agreement for discussion after two years. An earlier recommendation had supported the roster in principle and called for monitoring and an assessment of lost earnings. The recommendation was signed on 11 September 1996.
