In 1996, the Labour Court recommended changes to the salary formula for a former AnCo Deputy Director General employed by Fas. It recommended applying Review Body awards from 1 January 1990 and calculating the salary by reference to the maximum salary for Assistant Directors General and the Director General’s Deputy Secretary grade. For the future, the Court recommended a salary midway between the maximum Fas Grade 3 salary and the Director General’s Deputy Secretary grade salary, or the relevant notional pension salary if the grade was abolished. It did not recommend added pension years or changes to the recovery of spouses’ and children’s contributions. The recommendation was signed on 20 September 1996.
