The Labour Court recommended that Aer Lingus accept two British Caledonian cabin crew on flight EI107 and provide three days off after transatlantic flights for a dedicated group during the 18-week summer hire-in. The days off would not be guaranteed. The recommendation was dated 30 May 1996. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought ten Aer Lingus cabin crew, three rest days after each transatlantic duty and compensation. The Court said two British Caledonian crew had to be aboard and recommended acceptance of the company’s crewing proposal. It noted the compensation claim but said it was not properly before it.
