In 1995, the Labour Court recommended that Spring Grove Services (Ireland) Limited pay a worker four weeks’ gross salary in full and final settlement of a dismissal dispute. The recommendation was signed on 20 November 1995. The worker denied attacking a chargehand, while the company alleged he had attacked and threatened him and cited concerns about his work record. The Court said the evidence conflicted and that the company may have had reason to dismiss the worker, but that the manner of dismissal was less than satisfactory. It did not recommend reinstatement.
