The Labour Court recommended a £350 lump sum and revised pay terms for Central Fisheries Board administrative assistants upgraded from Grade III to Grade IV. The arrangements were conditional on cooperation with introducing information technology and with assistant managers. The recommendation was signed on 7 July 1994. Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought the upgrading. An independent assessment led the parties to agree that the assistants should move to Grade IV, but they could not agree on the transition. After an earlier recommendation asked them to agree a reasonable basis for assimilation, the Court issued this definitive recommendation setting out the payment and pay arrangements.
