In 1993, the Labour Court recommended that National Irish Investment Bank's sales-force proposals be accepted with amendments, in a dispute with the Irish Bank Officials Association. The recommendation was dated 28 September. The terms included placing successful Branch Marketing Official appointees at the maximum of the Senior Bank Official grade, completing discussions on job location and assignments within four weeks, and continuing the Voluntary Severance Scheme to the end of December. The Court also recommended company-car purchases at 70% of current market value, described as the Salesman Guide price less £1,000.
