The Labour Court found a protective notice issued by Independent Newspapers (Ireland) Limited was warranted after threatened action put publication of a paper in immediate jeopardy, in a recommendation dated 16 April 1993. The Court said prolonged notice was not conducive to good workplace relations and recommended that the company and Dublin Printing Group Of Unions address the underlying problem without delay and consider changes to their procedures.
