Labour Court urges Iarnrod Eireann and association to agree stationmaster transfer

Place: no local area assigned from the source.

In 1993, the Labour Court recommended that Iarnrod Eireann put reasonable transfer options to the Transport Salaried Staffs' Association and the stationmaster at Boyle, to help secure his transfer to Longford and allow Boyle station to be halted. The Court recognised the company's commitment that stationmasters at stations scheduled for halting could remain in place until they chose to move or seek transfer. It urged the association and worker to consider the options in good faith. The recommendation was dated 16 April 1993.
