In 1993, the Labour Court did not find in favour of the Irish Bank Officials’ Association in its dispute with Bank Of Ireland over alleged victimisation and harassment of a worker after an April 1992 dispute. The association cited an adverse appraisal, an investigation of the worker’s loan portfolio and difficulty getting information to answer criticisms. The Court did not find that the worker’s later employment difficulties were linked to his involvement in the April dispute. It left other issues for the grievance procedure. The recommendation was dated 1 February 1993.
