In 1992, the Labour Court recommended a job assessment in a grading dispute between Central Fisheries Board and Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, covering 11 administrative workers. The union said the workers had taken on new duties and its assessment supported moving them from grade III to grade IV. The Board said their duties had not changed under the staff scheme. The Court recommended that the Board promptly choose between commissioning an independent assessment and relying on the union’s assessment. It signed the recommendation on 12 November 1992.
