In 1992, the Labour Court recommended that the National Engineering And Electrical Trade Union accept three redundancies at Pump Services, with compensation of two weeks’ pay per year of service plus statutory entitlement. The recommendation was signed on 13 January 1992. The Court also recommended net reinstatement pay for 1 to 29 November 1991, plus an additional £100 per year of service, payable when Pump Services received its statutory refund. It recommended satisfactory references, no victimisation, and that the union call off industrial action once the company accepted the terms.
