Labour Court recommends £1,000 payment after finding constructive dismissal at Splash Boutique

The Labour Court recommended on 20 September 1991 that Splash Boutique pay a worker £1,000 after finding that the employer’s behaviour constituted constructive dismissal in the absence of evidence to the contrary. It also recommended payment of any outstanding holiday money and payment in lieu of notice. The dispute concerned the worker’s dismissal and money owed. The Court noted that the employer’s representatives had offered £250 on condition that the worker did not proceed with the case.
