The Labour Court did not recommend conceding a union claim for compensation of about £300 net per worker for 20 attendants temporarily moved between hospitals during building work. The recommendation, involving the South Eastern Health Board and the Amalgamated Transport And General Workers Union, was dated 20 June 1991. The Court said the Board was precluded from making a payment and noted that the move would permanently improve the living and working environment.
