The Labour Court declined to recommend concession of the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim concerning a worker dismissed by Dublin Corporation. The recommendation was dated 27 March 1991. The Court said the worker had admitted fraudulently claiming Social Welfare Benefit for periods when he was working or on paid leave, and considered the conduct warranted dismissal. It also noted that he had made no complaint about the dismissal procedure.
